Black Hat Media

Black Hat Media is a solo attempt at an on-line magazine. Black Hat Media will combine two elements that are rarely (if ever) dealt with in the same forum effectively - advocacy and arts/entertainment. The founder, writer, photographer, editor, and publisher of Black Hat Media has a unique perspective with both elements of this e-zine.

There is lived experience of both poverty and disability behind the creation of Black Hat Media. This is an attempt to provide an admittedly biased opinion on events that affect the lives of an increasing number of people as we deal with both poverty and disability - a global economic downturn and an increasingly aging population. You will be guaranteed an honest, informed opinion of the advocacy events that Black Hat Media attends.

There is also a life-time appreciation of the arts and fascination of different cultures that lies at the foundation of Black Hat Media. Publishing information on entertainment events in the past has simply been too overwhelming for other publications to handle.  This site will provide the forum for an honest, informed opinion of the entertainment events that Black Hat Media attends.

The soul contributor to Black Hat Media earned a certificate from the International Human Rights Education Institute for grounding the advocacy articles within a human rights framework.   In addition, the contributor also earned as undergraduate  degree from the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus in Art History ideal for elevating the arts/entertainment discussions.

By no means are advocacy and arts/entertainment mutually exclusive. There may be advocacy events that are artsy and entertaining, or art/entertainment events that are advocating.  Either way, events that combine the two elements will be highlighted by Black Hat Media.

Cheers!
